Adinkra Symbols Earrings
Adinkra symbols are believed to originate in Gyaman, a former kingdom in today's Côte D'Ivoire. They are traditionally printed on pottery or fabrics that are to this day, worn by the Asante people in Ghana during festive occasions and gatherings. The Adinkra symbols mostly express rich proverbs, which are of great significance for the Asante culture. Their use is considered to be a mark of wisdom.
Proverb: Knowledge without wisdom is like water in the sand.
